Interlesional corticosteroid injection

Isotretinoin

Oral antibiotics

Make sure you have sufficient vitamins, supplements, and minerals to keeps your body healthy and your immune system strong.

Hormonal treatment – sometimes, the main cause of acne can be hormones. During the teen years, it is inevitable for some people to develop acne as a result of their changing hormones. There are treatments that can prevent acne breakouts including oral antibiotics and birth control pills for women.

Accutane is not prescribed for mild acne; rather, it is used for severe cases where cystic acne is prevalent because Accutane is a strong treatment with a lot of side effects. If you decide to get this treatment though, you should perform regular blood test to ensure that your body is coping well. In addition, Accutane treatment should last for six months at the most.

Users should also take note that this treatment can cause severe dryness to the skin so applying moisturizer on the whole body every day is recommended. It is recommended for you to use a moisturizer that is prescribed by the dermatologist to ensure the proper care of your skin.
